STOWE, VT (April 24, 2024): Spruce Peak Arts, whose mission is to inspire, educate, and entertain, announces a spectacular spring featuring unique experiences for audiences of all ages. Get an exclusive peek behind the scenes of the dance and film process with conversations from world-renowned choreographer Doug Varone and director Mark Osborne, plus multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter KT Tunstall. On June 1 at 7:00 pm, experience the mesmerizing choreography of Doug Varone and Dancers [Stripped]. See Somewhere, Varone’s critically acclaimed interpretation of Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story score shown in its entirety. “Varone’s ability to convey depths of emotion through highly charged physically exciting choreography has made him a rarity among his generation.” – THE NEW YORK TIMES In an informal atmosphere with no lights and no costumes, the evening will have dancing as well as an open dialogue on the process of creating. Continuing the excitement on June 9 at 2:00 pm, enjoy a special screening of Kung Fu Panda, followed by a post-show conversation with the film's director, Mark Osborne. This unique event offers fans of the beloved animated film an opportunity to gain insights into the creative process behind this cinematic masterpiece. Closing out the month on June 19 at 7:00 pm, don't miss the electrifying performance by multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter KT Tunstall. Known for her soulful voice and infectious energy on stage, Tunstall promises an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment. Tickets are $40-$65 at sprucepeakarts.org.
