GRAMMY AWARD-NOMINEE AND BROADWAY-LEADING LADY ALEXANDRA SILBER 2023 SOLO CONCERT DATES

THE HOUR OF PEARL

Los Angeles, CA - March 31, 2023: Alexandra Silber, Grammy award-nominee and Broadway Leading Lady, known for her powerful voice and her ability to captivate audiences with her performances, is bringing her solo show to audiences across the country.  Starting in her birthplace Los Angeles, on April 16, followed by San Francisco on April 21-22, followed by St. Louis on April 28, and Carmel, IN on April 29 with more engagements to be announced (https://linktr.ee/alsilbs).

“It is the hour of pearl—the interval between day and night when time stops and examines itself.”  ― John Steinbeck, Cannery Row

Featuring an eclectic array of music spanning everything from folk, jazz, American songbook, and some special Broadway favorites, join California native and Grammy-nominated vocalist Alexandra Silber as she returns with her brand-new solo show The Hour of Pearl and memorable stories not to be missed.

Grammy-nominated for her performance with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony, “gifted storyteller, brilliant thinker, accomplished actor: Alexandra Silber is a consummate artist with a luminous voice on stage and page…” according to PopCulturalist, this multi-hyphenate artist is joined by her childhood friend, now preeminent world-class musician and collaborator, Doug Peck, in San Francisco. Obie and Lucille Lortell Award-winning singer, pianist, music director, actor, orchestrator, and writer that the New York Times calls “a priceless collaborator" Ben Moss, joins her as the music director elsewhere.

Silber, named by BroadwayWorld as one of the Top 10 Best Cabaret Events of 2021 and 2022, said: “[Silber] moves effortlessly from lyrical soprano singing to full-on Broadway belting right through her hilarious and sometimes touching talkie bits and back again. With a seemingly indestructible larynx that can give over sounds ranging from blaring trumpets to low low growls to high HIGH trills, oftentimes within the same composition. Her Broadway-caliber vocals applied to this music showed the full extent of her impressive range.”

Laughter, pathos, thrilling vocals on songs new and familiar—from story to song, don’t miss the thrilling return of the “glamorous and hyper-articulate” (NYT) Alexandra Silber as she returns to solo stage.
