This heartfelt and amusing single-camera comedy, set in Los Angeles, follows perpetually single dessert blogger/amateur baker Warren (Jason Boegh) as he joins a dating therapy group called “HeartMakers” run by Dr. Amy (Amy Hill), an overly enthusiastic love facilitator with questionable credentials. He and a colorful ensemble of “losers in love” work together to overcome their expectations of the heart, their own self-sabotage, and their OUTDATED notions of how to find a lasting relationship. As they look for romantic opportunities, the group also unexpectedly develops strong bonds of friendship and more with each other. ​

JASON BOEGH (Creator), known primarily for his numerous TV roles, Los Angeles native Jason Boegh recently guest starred on CBS's "CSI: Vegas", Paramount+ 's "The Offer" and "Why Women Kill", Netflix’s “Alexa & Katie”, ABC’s “American Housewife” and Disney’s “Bunk’d” and “Kirby Buckets”. He also recurred on the CBS comedy “The Great Indoors” and HBO's "Perry Mason". ​ Other TV credits include ​ "Mom", “Splitting Up Together”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Scandal”, “Jane the Virgin”, “”Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, Hot in Cleveland”, “The Middle”, “Parks and Recreation”, “Maron”, “The New Normal”, “House”, and “Monk”. He also previously starred on the webseries “DogGone It!” and “Climax! The Series”... Later this year he will be seen on "The Morning Show" (Apple+) and recur on "Good Behavior" (Freeform).

(which he also co-created and starred in). ​ Previous producing credits include his first feature, Philipp Karner's award-winning LGBT drama "Like You Mean It" that played the festival circuit all over the world. and the smash hit comedy short "Dirty Talk" (11 Awards, 50 Festivals across the globe). Other producing credits include the shorts "the things i cannot change", "A Knee Up", "Families in Crisis", "Meth Addiction~ Insights and Recovery" (which he wrote and directed) and "Stop Eating So F&%king Much" (which he also wrote and directed). Jason Co-Produced two award-winning films, the short comedy "Luber" (from the "Dirty Talk" crew) and the short drama "Night Shift". He is also writing and producing the upcoming new short form series “Liza Tries It!”

Along with acting, writing, directing and producing, he is also an accomplished theater actor and Audition Coach and is a Graduate of the University of California, San Diego with degrees in both Theater and Communications.

 

ANTONIO MIROS (Creator) has a diverse writing career spanning 20 years. His new podcast “Hollywood Obsessed” – featuring insightful interviews with entertainment professionals and insiders who share their personal stories about Hollywood and its colorful history - launches on Spotify and Apple on February 17, 2023. Admired as a strong voice for the Latinx community, he has written for national and international publications including Angeleno Magazine, Miami Metro Magazine, ReFresh Magazine (UK) and TimeOut. ​ He is also a successful Reality TV Casting Director in Los Angeles and in 2018, he was nominated for an Artios Award for his work on MTV's “True Life” series. Other credits include HBO’s “We’re Here”, ABC’s “Claim To Fame” and “The Great Christmas Light Fight,” as well as the new Apple TV+ competition series “My Kind of Country Music” and Netflix’s “Squid Games: The Challenge.” He also casts commercials and independent films including the award-winning indie feature film “A Marine Story.” Being a native New Yorker - of Hispanic heritage - he is extremely passionate about bringing a wider representation of people from different cultural backgrounds to the forefront of television through both casting and writing. He is a proud, active member of the Casting Society of America (CSA) and the Television Academy.

 

KATIE ROSIN/KAMPFIRE FILMS is an award-winning producer, who has been working in production and marketing for film, television, and theater for over 20 years, founding Kampfire Films in 2001. After working in production on films such as American Psycho and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and on the publicity side of Miramax Films, Kampfire was instrumental in the launch of the Broadway musical, Brooklyn, and the National Tour of Mother Load. In 2014, she helped launched Stage17.tv, a digital entertainment destination for the world’s largest stage—the Internet. RODNEY TO (Director) is an actor, director and professor originally from Chicago, IL. 

As an actor, Rodney starred in Universal/Amblin’s feature film Easter Sunday, the first studio feature film centering around a Filipino American family, starring juggernaut comedian, Jo Koy. Rodney will also recur in the upcoming Netflix series The Brothers Sun, starring Michelle Yeoh. 

Rodney is best known for playing the role of ‘Typhoon’ on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. ​ He has recurred on NBC’s Good Girls, HBO’s Barry, FOX’s Rosewood, Corporate, and all four seasons of Wilfred on FX. Select TV/Film credits include The Conners, The Shrink Next Door, This Fool, Nocturne, You’re the Worst, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, New Girl, Magnum P.I., and NCIS. He has worked with theaters across the country including Victory Gardens, Steppenwolf, Ojai Playwrights Conference, La Jolla Playhouse, Northlight, Mark Taper, South Coast Rep, Hartford Stage, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, East West Players and Ma-Yi among others. Awards include an LA Ovation Award Nomination for EDITH CAN SHOOT THINGS AND HIT THEM with Artists at Play, Chicago’s Jeff Award Nomination for THE ​ ROMANCE OF MAGNO ​ RUBIO and winner of the NY International Fringe Festival for the show he co-penned, SIDES…THE FEAR IS REAL. 

Rodney is a professor at USC in the School of Dramatic Arts and was recently awarded the Bill White Faculty Recognition Award.

Rodney also currently serves as the Associate Artistic Director of IAMA Theatre, an award-winning theatre in Los Angeles committed to creating new work and plays. With IAMA, he’ll be directing the world premiere of Nicholas Pilapil’s The Bottoming Process starring George Salazar.

Rodney was inducted into Chicago's Filipino-American Hall of Fame for his work.
