He is currently completing a book on the theatrical work of James Baldwin.</p><p> </p><p><strong>THE SOOP ACTING COMPANY</strong> \u200b mainstage productions are, quite literally, as old as SOOP itself! Founded in 1998, the SOOP Theatre Company, was producing only &ldquo;Mainstage&rdquo; original works in NYC at venues such as the now defunct UBU Repertory Theatre and The Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex. With the additions of our &ldquo;educational arm&rdquo;, the SOOP Theatre Arts Repertory (STAR) and our NEW home base, The 530 Studios at 530 Fifth Avenue in Pelham, NY, our &ldquo;professional arm&rdquo; took the moniker SOOP Acting Company and continues to produce both established and original works, now in two locations &ndash; NYC and Pelham, NY!</p><p>The SOOP Acting Company, always seeking projects that INSPIRE (inquire, nurture, support, promote, immerse, reveal, encourage), is a professional regional, non-union theatre company. We often work with Actors&rsquo; Equity Association to provide a Guest Artist Agreement or an AEA Showcase Code, allowing us to cast union members. All of our mainstage productions are cast out of and rehearse in NYC and perform either there, \u200b or move to Pelham for final tech week and performance. Our move to Westchester and the new studio facility has been an incredibly rewarding one! The ability to provide such a professional, quality theatre experience in a place where we provide theatre education truly completes our company&rsquo;s mission!</p><p style=\"text-align: center\"># \u200b # \u200b #</p><div class=\"release-content-contact\" id=\"contact-7c6b498e-9f9d-46df-b656-0e69e091872e\">\n <div class=\"release-content-contact__avatar\"><img src=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/72d12c81-5dde-4396-89ab-ddb684854763/-/crop/4480x4480/0,426/-/preview/-/scale_crop/128x128/center/-/format/auto/\" alt=\"Katie Rosin\" class=\"release-content-contact__avatar-image\" /></div>\n <div class=\"release-content-contact__details\">\n <strong class=\"release-content-contact__name\">Katie Rosin</strong>\n <em class=\"release-content-contact__description\">President, Kampfire Films PR</em>\n <ul class=\"release-content-contact__details-list\"><li class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item\"><a href=\"mailto:katie@kampfirefilmspr.com\" class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item-link\" title=\"katie@kampfirefilmspr.com\"><svg class=\"icon icon-paper-plane release-content-contact__details-list-item-icon\">\n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-paper-plane\"></use>\n </svg>katie@kampfirefilmspr.com</a></li>\n<li class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item\"><a href=\"tel:917-512-2626\" class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item-link\" title=\"917-512-2626\"><svg class=\"icon icon-phone release-content-contact__details-list-item-icon\">\n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-phone\"></use>\n </svg>917-512-2626</a></li>\n<li class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item\"><a href=\"tel:917-562-5670\" class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item-link\" title=\"917-562-5670\"><svg class=\"icon icon-mobile release-content-contact__details-list-item-icon\">\n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-mobile\"></use>\n </svg>917-562-5670</a></li>\n<li class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item\"><a href=\"https://twitter.com/KampfirePR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item-link\" title=\"@KampfirePR\"><svg class=\"icon icon-twitter release-content-contact__details-list-item-icon\">\n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-twitter\"></use>\n </svg>@KampfirePR</a></li>\n<li class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item\"><a href=\"https://www.facebook.com/KampfirePR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item-link\" title=\"KampfirePR\"><svg class=\"icon icon-facebook release-content-contact__details-list-item-icon\">\n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-facebook\"></use>\n </svg>KampfirePR</a></li>\n<li class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item\"><a href=\"http://www.KampfireFilmsPr.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"release-content-contact__details-list-item-link\" title=\"KampfireFilmsPr.com\"><svg class=\"icon icon-browser release-content-contact__details-list-item-icon\">\n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-browser\"></use>\n </svg>KampfireFilmsPr.com</a></li></ul>\n </div>\n</div>",
