STAGE TIME LIGHTS UP DECEMBER WITH DISCO NIGHTS, A STAR-STUDDED SPECTACULAR, A QUEER HOLIDAY CELEBRATION, and more of SLAM FRANK

New York’s most electric variety machine closes 2025 with high-glam chaos, drag royalty, burlesque brilliance, and a holiday party season like no other.

New York, NY – December 2025: STAGE TIME, the downtown heartbeat of queer nightlife, underground talent, and unapologetic expression, storms into December with two signature blowouts, a brand-new holiday event turning tradition on its head, and the closing of the most incendiary show currently Off-Broadway. Crafted by founder and Broadway firecracker PJ Adzima, STAGE TIME continues delivering its signature fusion of Broadway brilliance, drag spectacle, burlesque seduction, indie artistry, and curated chaos, described by Time Out NY as a “neo-vaudevillian, eclectic mix of musical-theater, comedy, drag, circus, and burlesque.” - TIME OUT NY RECOMMENDATION

December’s lineup is a glitter-drenched dream built for maximalists, misfits, lovers, legends, and anyone who believes nightlife should feel like a movement.

DISCO NIGHTS returns on Saturday, December 6 at Disco Sally’s (795 8th Ave, 3rd Fl, New York, NY 10019) for a full-tilt queer disco inferno hosted by Disco DJ Max, PJ Adzima, and Summer Reign. The night features drag royalty Jupiter Genesis, serving looks, kicks, and flips for days, and the sizzling Freakin Rican burlesque force Mizzaddy. Go-Go powerhouses Gabe Amato (& Juliet), Sweet Cinn Spyce (After Dark with Brian Newman), and Stellar Wynn keep the room pulsing from every corner. Expect high voltage, zero chill, and a dance floor fueled by pure queer joy. Tickets are HERE.

STAGE TIME SPECTACULAR with PJ Adzima, the crown jewel of the series, curated and hosted by PJ Adzima, returns with a powerhouse lineup on Monday, December 8 at 8:00 pm at the Slipper Room (167 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002), alongside Lady Stage Time and Go-Go Sovereign Summer Reign, with music by EnSPirits and DJ Disco Max. This all-star edition features ethereal siren Eleri Ward, dreamy aerialist Gallexii, burlesque icon Tansy (the Elizabeth Taylor of Burlesque), and Zalika, the Emotional Support Drag Queen we all deserve. They’re joined by The Stuppets, Mr. Stage Time’s chaotic children, Shitzprobe, the improvised musical theater phenomenon, and even more surprises waiting behind the red curtain. The Spectacular remains a modern-day vaudeville where stars rise in real time. As PJ says, “The worst thing you can do is waste someone’s night out — and we will never waste your time at Stage Time.” Tickets are $30-$50 at the slipperroom.com

Stage Time has partnered with Brad Plaxen’s THE QUEER WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS, directed by Cassandra “Sassie LeFay” Clark. It is a scandalously merry musical parody for anyone who’s ever wished Christmas came with more glitter, leather, and tassels. Stage Time mainstays, PJ Adzima (The Book of Mormon, STAGE TIME, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Mrs. Claus and Summer Reign (STAGE TIME) as Vixen, plus a colorful cast of characters who include Nathan Repasz as Santa Claus/The Mayor of New York,  Alex “Dutch Baby” Hardin as Snow Miser, Artina Darkly as Heat Miser, Logan Faust as Jingle the Elf, SLee as Jangle the Elf/Ignatius, and Zennifer Sage as Mother Nature. Playing at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe ( 407 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036) Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30 PM through December 19, the show serves up a riotous blend of drag, burlesque, and holiday chaos as Mrs. Claus, Vixen, and the North Pole’s boldest elf boys scour New York City for anyone who still believes in Santa—set to irreverent takes on classics like “Blue Christmas,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” and the iconic Snow Miser/Heat Miser duets. Tickets ($30 Tuesdays, $40 Fridays, plus a $25 food/beverage minimum) are available at www.TheBeechman.com

Stage Time’s incendiary new musical SLAM FRANK, which has played to sold-out houses at Asylum NYC (123 East 24th Street, New York, NY) and become one of the most talked-about, argued-about, and laughed-about theatrical events of the year, must close December 28. Reimagining Anne Frank’s story through an intersectional, multiethnic, genderqueer, Afro-Latin hip-hop lens, the show has been hailed for its fearless theatricality and razor-sharp satire. Former New York Times critic Ben Brantley called it “the most important show around,” while TheaterMania’s Zachary Stewart urged, “If you love the theater and want it to once again be a safe space for dangerous thought, the best thing you can do is buy a ticket to Slam Frank and laugh your ass off.” The UK Times praised its critique of tribalism, with Ben Kawaller noting, “Slam Frank skewers the absurdity of tribalism while championing our common humanity… perhaps it can save America.” Inspired by the viral question, “Did Anne Frank ever acknowledge her white privilege?”, the musical follows a performatively progressive community theater company as they attempt to reinvent Anne Frank’s story into a boundary-breaking hip-hop spectacle—with results that are as hilarious as they are provocative. With overwhelming demand driving extensions throughout the fall, audiences now have their final chance to experience this cultural lightning bolt before it concludes its run. www.SlamFrankMusical.com

“PJ Adzima, one of the producers of “Slam Frank,” spent years playing Elder McKinley in “Book of Mormon,” and he thinks audiences are ready to be scandalized in a new and slightly different way. “ ‘Slam Frank’ is like discovering plutonium,” he told me. “If we can harness this, it’s a nuclear reactor, and we can go to the stars. If not, it’s Chernobyl.” - on SLAM FRANK in the New Yorker
