NEW YORK, NY — THEATRE ROCK LIVE is pleased to announce the industry-only presentation of Joe Andolino and Nick Nappo’s Soundwall, directed by Abbey O’Brien (Global Associate Director & Choreographer Waitress). The new musical will have the presentation on Monday, October 28 at 2:00 PM EST at Boulevard Carroll Studios, Studio 6.
Soundwall is a raw, heart-pounding concert-theatre experience set on the eve of a 20th high school reunion in Ithaca, NY. Three former bandmates reunite after twenty years apart, testing whether music can bridge ambition, distance, and the weight of old wounds.
A contemporary reimagining of Homer’s Odyssey, Soundwall blends original music with intimate storytelling to explore love, loss, identity, and the echoes of the voices we carry, both those that haunt us and those that heal us. At its core, the piece is about chosen family, the messiness of growing up, and knowing when to let go…and when to hold on. Wherever the road takes you, one truth remains: just drive on.
The presentation of Soundwall will feature Nadina Hassan (Mean Girls, We Live in Cairo) as Sam, Gabe Martínez (Moulin Rouge!, In the Heights) as Dax, and David R. Gordon (Ragtime, Beautiful) as Dre. The ensemble includes Chelsea Williams (Mamma Mia!, In Transit), Sarah Baskin (A Family Affair, Ramy), and Lennie Disanto, a Puerto Rican-born Berklee College of Music graduate who has performed with Sam Smith, Andrea Bocelli, and Sting.
The production’s live rock band will be musical directed by Andolino and features Jason Gianni (Rock of Ages, Little Shop of Horrors, Kansas) on drums and Tony Ventura (the original bassist for Tony and Tina’s Wedding) on bass. Ampersand Theatrical Management is serving as the general manager.

BIOGRAPHIES
JOE ANDOLINO (Music & Lyrics), a native of New Jersey, grew up with a variety of musical styles and influences from progressive rock, R&B, and fusion. He combined those influences at the University of Southern California into the world of Film Scoring. Studying with some of the biggest names in composition and performance gave Joe a very schooled approach. He can now pull from many sources when producing music. He is a drummer, keyboard player, songwriter, arranger and conductor. He fears being typecast into any one particular style when writing, but a listener can always hear his audio fingerprints on anything he does. “I prefer to be a chameleon, that way I can be a part of the different styles of music I enjoy”. Music critics have described his sound as “progressive pop”, ranging from groove-oriented tunes to more dramatic ballads. Professionally, his writing credits include some notable independent films. He has been featured 4 times in The Hollywood Reporter’s “Who’s Who in Composing”. Joe Also runs "Theatre Rock Live" a Broadway tribute to Rock musicals.
NICK NAPPO (Book & Lyrics) is passionate about creating thought-provoking and engaging theatre experiences. Beyond Soundwall, he has been actively involved in the New York/New Jersey theatre scene, contributing to various community theatre productions and arts organizations. Nick holds a BA in Theatre Arts and Spanish from Drew University and an MA in Integrated Marketing Communication from Marist College. When he’s not writing or creating, however, he works on the digital marketing team at Segal, a human resources and benefits consulting firm.
