STOWE, VT (January 17, 2024): Spruce Peak Arts, whose mission is to inspire, educate, and entertain, and new Executive Director Seth Soloway are excited to announce the first roster of performers from Soloway who promised to curate Stowe’s living room and “Together unite the patchwork of our diverse community and truly turn SPA into Stowe’s arts home” and a new discount ticket initiative for members of the community. From indie folk-rock of Josiah and The Bonnevilles to genre-defying Sons of Mystro and classical sounds of Wynton Marsalis, and even a cinematic journey through the lens of acclaimed photographer Jim Westphalen, Spruce Peak Arts’ stage is set to host unforgettable experiences. Sons of Mystro on Thursday, February 15, 2024, 7:00 PM - Prepare to be enchanted by the Sons of Mystro, a dynamic duo that redefines the boundaries of classical music. This violin-playing pair brings a fresh and innovative approach to their craft, blending classical mastery with the vibrant energy of reggae and hip-hop. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis on Friday, February 16, 2024, 7:00 PM - Renowned trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis graces the Spruce Peak Arts stage. A living legend in the world of jazz, Marsalis is celebrated for his virtuosity and contributions to the genre. Witness a night of exceptional musicianship as he takes the audience on a journey through the rich tapestry of jazz history. Tickets are $65-$150 at sprucepeakarts.org.

 

Vanish – Disappearing Icons of Rural America, a Jim Westphalen Film on Saturday, February 24, 2024, 7:00 PM - Closing out the month, immerse yourself in the visual artistry of photographer Jim Westphalen. Through his lens, Westphalen explores the beauty of Vermont's landscapes and its people, bringing his stunning work to life on the big screen.
