NEW YORK, NY; June 22, 2023: The Chain NYC Film Festival is thrilled to announce their 11th annual festival of over 150 selections of features, shorts, and web series, both narrative and documentary, to screen over the course of 10 days, August 3 - 13. Located in the heart of midtown the Chain NYC Film Festival (312 W. 36th Street, 3rd and 4th Floor, New York, NY 10018) is known for meticulously curated content blocks, exclusive film screenings, and exciting dialogue between the filmmaker and their audiences. The convenient venue is located steps from Penn Station and blocks from Times Square.

Past years have included genre-busting Grindhouse Film Blocks to important Human Rights Documentaries. The festival also warmly embraces web series submissions as part of a new wave of creative enterprise in an increasingly connected world. Over 30 awards are bestowed in numerous categories, including Best Narrative Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Animated Film, and Best Local Filmmaker. Special prizes may also be awarded, at the discretion of a jury of storytelling and filmmaking experts.

Past films include Academy Award Winning shorts such as The Lady In Number 6: Music Saved My Life and special events featuring Academy Award screenwriters. 

Opening Night Ceremony will be held Thursday, August 3rd 7PM-10PM (RSVP required) complete with stand-up comedy, photo booth provided by our sponsors EP Events Group, FB Live red carpet interviews with filmmakers, and more!
