“Irena’s Vow” was filmed during the pandemic on location in Warsaw and Lublin, Poland. Written by Dan Gordon and distributed by Quiver Distribution and Elevation Pictures, the film directed by Louise Archambault plays multiple venues on Monday and Tuesday, April 15th and 16th, including New York City’s AMC 42 and Regal E-Walk.

Originally developed and produced by The Directors Company and Invictus Theater, and directed by Michael Parva, “Irena’s Vow” received widespread acclaim and captivated audiences during its New York run. The theatrical production with its powerful narrative and stirring performances starred Tovah Feldshuh on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

This true-life story of Irena Gut Opdyke, a remarkable young woman who risked everything to save lives during the Holocaust, will now reach an even wider audience. The movie of “Irena’s Vow” captures the emotional impact of the stage production and brings this triumphant story to the silver screen.

“We are immensely thrilled to see Irena’s story reach a larger audience,” said Michael Parva in a statement. “The story of Irena Gut Opdyke is one of courage, compassion, and the resilience of the human spirit. We are confident that this film will continue to inspire audiences around the world.”
